Description

The 2N® Access Unit 2.0 RFID access control unit has a multi-frequency RFID card reader that allows the simultaneous use of older 125kHz cards and new, secure 13.56MHz smart cards. Its greatest benefits are simple installation using a single ethernet cable, remote administration and hardware and software security.

  • Multi-frequency RFID card reader
    The combined RFID reader is extremely useful in shared office buildings where some people use secure 13.56MHz smart cards and others use regular 125kHz cards.
  • Minimum wiring requirements
    A single ethernet cable is all you need to ensure communication with the unit and power (PoE). You can also connect a door lock, exit button, door contact or motion sensor just as easily directly to the unit.
  • Same design as IP intercoms
    The access control unit will impress you with its elegant appearance, which has the same design as 2N IP intercoms. The unit comes in nickel or black and can be installed on the wall or flush mounted.
  • Remote configuration and administration
    Thanks to IP technology, the access control unit can be administered remotely via a web interface You can also use 2N® Access Commander software or the 2N® Remote Configuration service to administer the unit.
  • Attendance terminal
    The 2N® Access Unit 2.0 operates as a basic access terminal recording the arrival and departure of employees. Information on attendance is subsequently displayed in the 2N® Access Commander software.
  • Protection against hackers
    With IK08 class protection, the access control unit is resistant to vandals and software hackers. It can resist dictionary attacks and supports the 802.1x protocol for authentication in the network.
  • Double-sided door security
    Add-on modules can be connected to the 2N Access Unit 2.0, e.g. an RFID exit reader or keypad, as well as a simple exit button to ensure the door is secured from both sides.
  • NFC support
    Thanks to support of NFC technology, as well as RFID cards, users can use their Android smartphone with the installed 2N® Mobile Key application to enter the building.
